Sharon Tettegah
Sharon Tettegah (http://sharontettegah.academia.edu/) is the Associate Vice Chancellor in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and founder director of The Learning Institute for Visionary Epistemologies in STEM and Interdisciplinary Studies (LIVES). She is also the Director at the Center for Black Studies Research, Professor in the Department of Black Studies (https://www.blackstudies.ucsb.edu/people/sharon-tettegah) , and affiliate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, at Santa Barbara. Sharon is also co-founder of Student Engagement and Enrichment in Data Science (SEEDS; https://cbsr.ucsb.edu/seeds)
Timothy Sherwood, Co-Founder
Timothy Sherwood is the Interim Dean of the College of Creative Studies, a Professor of Computer Science, an affiliate of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a member of the Institute for Energy Efficiency at UC Santa Barbara specializing in the development of processors exploiting novel technologies or provable properties. In addition he is a co-founder of the interdisciplinary student-driven program SEEDS, a co-founder of Cycuity (formerly known as Tortuga Logic) and a member of the advisory board for the Center for Black Studies Research. He is a recipient of the UCSB Academic Senate Teaching and Mentoring Awards, the ACM SIGARCH Maurice Wilkes Award, an ACM Distinguished Scientist, an IEEE Fellow, and co-recipient of 17 different "best paper" or "top pick" article awards. Prior to joining UC Santa Barbara he received his B.S. from UC Davis (1998), and M.S. and Ph.D. from UC San Diego (2003) all in Computer Science and Engineering.

We encourage the study of epistemology, especially any activity that will help broaden our understanding of it. We also support the collegiate community and epistemic research institutions by sharing with them everything we discovered through live talks.
